Did God Allow Noah To Eat Meat?

The passage of Genesis 9:2-4 was the subject of great debate and controversy. After years of study and research and virtually leaving no stone unturned on the subject, to date I have not read a commentary on the passage which is worthy of a serious consideration. Generally it is argued that here we have the first biblical passage where God explicitly told Noah that he may kill any animal he wanted to in order to eat its flesh. Even vegetarians who abhor meat eating and who practice vegetarianism on ethical grounds admit that here we are faced with a biblical text which clearly sanctions the killing of animals and eating of their flesh. All they can say is that due to the fallen and corrupt nature of humanity God gave a “concession” concerning meat diet but it was not His ideal as in Genesis 1:30 where God ideally prescribed a completely vegetarian diet. But nothing can be further from the truth.

Did Jesus Eat Fish?

There is only one passage in the whole of the New Testament where it is explicitly and specifically said that Jesus actually ate meat. If this text is true and genuine and in fact inspired by the Holy Spirit, then it would follow that Jesus was not and could not have been a vegetarian. But if on the other hand it can be satisfactorily demonstrated that this passage in Luke 24 is actually a forgery, then it follows that Jesus must have been a vegetarian, since a lying hand felt a need to insert a lying passage in order to portray Jesus as a carnivorous being.

The Status of a Gentile According to Rabbinical Judaism PDF Print E-mail

Anyone who has seriously studied the rabbinical literature and the writings of the Jewish sages, could not help but notice the racism and bigotry often expressed in these writings. The Jews refer to the peoples who are not of the Jewish stock as “goyim” - usually rendered “gentiles.” The Jewish Talmud expressly states that all “goyim” who are not of the Jewish stock are sub-human and in actual fact “beasts.” In reference to Deuteronomy 7:6 the Talmud states:

“You [Jews] are human beings, but the nations of the world are not human beings but beasts [Baba Mecia, 114:6].

Talmud also makes the following remark:

“On the house of the Goy one looks as on the fold of cattle[Tosefta, Erubin, VIII].

Talmud also states that the property of all other nations belongs to the Jewish nation. It maintains that the Jews are not required to observe principles of morality when “goyim” are concerned.

Please note the following remark:

“All property of other nations belongs to the Jewish nation, which consequently is entitled to seize upon it without any scruples. An orthodox Jew is not bound to observe principles of morality towards people of other nations, and on the contrary, he even ought to act against morality, if it were profitable for himself or for the interest of Jews in general” [ Schulchan Aruch, Choszen Hamiszpat, 348].

The Talmud forbids the “goyim” to steal from either fellow “goyim” or the Jews. They are also forbidden to practice slavery or kill. The Jews on the other hand are permitted to do all of the above:

“A goy is forbidden to steal, rob, or take women slaves, etc., from a goy or from a Jew, but he [a Jew] is not forbidden to do all this to a goy…If a goy killed a goy or a Jew he is responsible, but if a Jew killed a goy he is not responsible” [Tosefta, Aboda Zara, VIII, 5].

The Talmudic rabbis and sages were racists and bigots. The Rabbis and the Jewish Sages regarded all other peoples as beasts and cattle. They deprived the “goyim” of justice and all human dignity. For this very reason they sternly forbade any Jew to disclose the contents of the Talmud and their Pentateuch to any person who was not a Jew. In fact, the Talmud explicitly states that any Jew who helps a “goy” in his Talmudic studies ought to die.

Please note the following remarks:

“To communicate to a goy about our religious relations would be equal to the killing of all the Jews, for if the goys knew what we teach about them, they would kill us openly” [Book of Libre David, 37].

“It is forbidden to disclose the secrets of the Law. He who would do it would be as guilty as if he destroyed the whole world” [Jaktu Chadasz, 171:2].

If a Jew be called to explain any part of the rabbinic books, he only ought to give a false explanation, that he might not, by behaving differently, become an accomplice in betraying this information. Who will violate this order shall be put to death” [Ibid].

“It is forbidden to disclose the secrets of the Law. One should and must make false oaths, when the goys ask if our books contain anything against them. Then we are bound to state on oath that there is nothing like that” [Szaalot-Utszabot, The Book of Jore d’a, 17].

“Every goy who studies Talmud, and every Jew who helps him in it, ought to die” [Sanhedryn 59a. Aboda Zora 8:6. Szagiga 13].

The Talmudic Rabbis pronounced death on every “goy” who studies the Talmud. They simply did not want the “goy” to know the racism and bigotry expressed therein. Now I don’t want you to be under impression that every single Jew and the Orthodox Rabbi endorses this Talmudic view. I don’t want you to assume that every Jew is a racist bigot who regards all other peoples as beasts. There are Jews and even Jewish Rabbis who are wonderful people and who identify “goyim” as humans and insist that they should be treated with human dignity. I extend my congratulations to all such Jews. It is important to point out that also vast majority of Christians believe that the Jews were chosen to be “supper race” and that God actually authorised them to exterminate their neighbours - especially the Canaanites. These same Christians  and the Jews who strictly adhere to the Talmudic principles likewise believe and maintain that the Jews as the “master race” had the “divine” right to exploit and even enslave not only the nations sharing their borders but also the foreigners and strangers who live in their land. Their conclusions are founded on the certain texts of the Jewish Pentateuch. Leviticus 25:44-46 is obviously one of such texts in the Hebrew Bible which sanctions the enslavement of foreigners but forbids the same practice over the fellow Israelites:

“As for your male and female slaves whom you MAY have: you MAY buy male and female slaves from among the NATIONS that are ROUND ABOUT YOU. You MAY buy also from among the STRANGERS WHO SOJOURN WITH YOU and their families that are with you, WHO HAVE BEEN BORN IN YOUR LAND; and they may be your PROPERTY. You may BEQEATH them to your sons after you, to inherit as a possession FOR EVER; YOU MAY MAKE SLAVES OF THEM, but over YOUR BRETHREN THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL YOU SHALL NOT RULE, ONE OVER ANOTHER, WITH HARSHNESS.”

It is amazing that most practicing Jews and Christians readily condemn the atrocities of Hitler and his systematic genocide against the Jews and other minorities, while at the same time vigorously defend the atrocities of the Jews and their ancient “heroes” David and Solomon. Now of course the beastly regime of Hitler and many other tyrants of history should be abhorred and wholeheartedly condemned. But let us be fair and just in our judgement. Let’s not condemn one party while exonerating the other for the same crimes. Lets not be blind and say that Satan inspired the beastly regime of Hitler while God inspired David and Solomon. Let’s not naively maintain that David was after God’s own heart and sweep all his atrocities under the carpet. I believe that murder is a crime - no matter whose life has been taken. Both the Jewish and the Christian Bibles credit David with great atrocities, to the extent that if he lived and committed these barbaric acts in our day and age he would have been prosecuted as a war criminal. David first of all believed in the superiority of his own race - the Judahite race. He wanted his own race to prosper and flourish. When the opportunity presented itself he conquered his neighbours and plundered their wealth, killing many while enslaving others. David also subjected the strangers and foreigners who lived in his own land to slavery and cruelty. 1 Chronicles 22:2 gives us this historical information:

“And David commanded to GATHER ALL THE STRANGERS WHO WERE IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL, to make some of them STONECUTTERS to HEW STONES for the HOUSE OF THE LORD; and to make some of them BLACKSMITHS to FORGE IRON to make axes and hatchets for HEWING STONES.”

David resorted to brutality and slavery in order to BUILD THE TEMPLE FOR GOD. But he did not care for the very laws which the Most High Himself gave through Moses forbidding the Jews and the Israelites to ill-treat their strangers and foreigners. God commanded that the strangers in Israel be treated as the native born Israelites. David simply rejected the life-giving laws of God - choosing a “better” way. Solomon later only followed the example of his own father David when he himself subjected the strangers to slavery and forced them to build his own palace and the temple. Please note the testimony of 2 Chronicles 2:17-18 - the last book in the Jewish Bible:

“Then Solomon gathered ALL THE STRANGERS who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering of them which David his father had done; and there were found A HUNDRED AND FIFTY THREE THOUSAND AND SIX HUINDRED. And King Solomon set seventy thousand of them to be BEARERS OF BURDENS and eighty thousand to be STONECUTTERS in the MOUNTAIN and three thousand and six hundred overseers to make the people work.”

What a reversal of history. The former slaves of Egypt were now themselves taskmasters. They simply ignored the explicit commands of God concerning their strangers. The Jewish Bible itself bears witness that God was not a bigot nor racist. He charged the Israelites to obey His life-giving and just laws. In some of these laws God stated:

“For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and LOVES THE STRANGER, giving him food and clothing. AND YOU ARE TO LOVE THOSE WHO ARE STRANGERS, for you yourselves were strangers in Egypt.”

The Israelites were commanded to LOVE their strangers because the Creator himself LOVED them. God did not think that the “goyim” were beasts but rather humans who were also made in the image and likeness of the great God. The Judahites should have been kind and compassionate to their strangers since they very well knew what it meant to be a stranger - since they themselves were strangers in the land of Egypt.  But alas, the stiff-necked race soon forgot their own bondage and misery. They also rejected God’s perfect and just laws  - following the laws of the “lying pen of the scribes.” The text of Leviticus 23:9 attributes these words to the mouth of God:

“Do not oppress a stranger; you yourselves know how it feels to be a stranger, because you were strangers in Egypt.”

The Judahites knew the hardships of slavery. They knew what it meant to be despised and destitute. They knew what it meant to feel the rod and a whip of a taskmaster. But they soon forgot it. Leviticus 19:23-24 states:

“When a stranger lives with you in your land, DO NOT ILL-TREAT HIM. The stranger living with you MUST BE TREATED AS ONE OF YOUR NATIVE-BORN. LOVE HIM AS YOURSELF; for you were strangers in Egypt. I am Yahweh your Elohim.”

David and Solomon should not have enslaved their strangers nor should have they  placed a yoke of bondage on them. They should have treated all their strangers and foreigners in the same way that they should have treated their own native-born Jews. All their strangers should have been allocated INHERITANCE in the land of Israel. Ezekiel 47:13,14,21-23 makes this fact very plain. God Himself said the following:

“These are the boundaries by which you are to divide the land for an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel, with two portions for Joseph. You are to divide it equally among them. Because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your forefathers, this land will become your inheritance…You are to distribute this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel. You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves AND FOR THE STRANGERS WHO HAVE SETTLED AMONG YOU AND WHO HAVE CHILDREN. YOU ARE TO CONSIDER THEM AS NATIVE-BORN ISRAELITES; ALONG WITH YOU THEY ARE TO BE ALLOTTED AN INHERITANCE AMONG THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL. IN WHATEVER TRIBE THE STRANGER SETTLES, THERE YOU ARE TO GIVE HIM HIS INHERITANCE...”

Can anything be plainer than this? Can there still be any doubt that God loved the strangers and very much cared for their welfare? Yet the adherents of Rabbinical Judaism and those of Normative Christianity exonerate David and Solomon - as well as all other Jews of the great crimes committed against humanity in general. But irony of ironies! He who sang of the “mercies of Yahweh” was in fact the MASTER BUTCHER - often exterminating all the inhabitants of the cities he conquered - plundering their wealth. 1 Samuel 27:9 says:

“Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes.”

2 Samuel 12:29-31credits David with even greater atrocities:

“And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it…and he brought forth the people that were therein, and cut them with saws, and harrows of iron, and with axes of iron, and forced them to go over into brick-klin: so did he to all the cities of the children of Amon.”

Modern translators try to water down this passage.  They translate it in such a way that you would think that David “merely” subjected these peoples to forced labour and made them manufacture tools of iron, saws, hatchets and bake bricks in brick-klin. The Hebrew text however and especially the Greek Septuagint make very clear that David was guilty of the former atrocities. Now the Jews and the Jewish Rabbis, as well as the Christian theologians and preachers, spoke against and wrote against the crimes of the Nazi Germany - and rightly so. But these same hypocrites are very silent when they encounter the atrocities of those who were associated with the “supper race.” Not only are they silent but many spoke and wrote in order to justify and exonerate these atrocities. Certain Jewish Rabbis even exonerate David from adultery and murder. They argue that since Uriah was a Hittite it was no sin to kill him. We have already seen from the Jewish Talmud that the Jew had the right to kill any “goy” he wished without being responsible. They also argue that Betsheba was a “temporal divorcee” - since her husband was in war - hence, they argue, David was not guilty of adultery. This fact is also admitted in the Jewish Encyclopaedia, art. David.  There were also two other Jewish “heroes” and “great reformers” - Ezra and Nehemiah. They just like David and Solomon believed in the superiority of the Jewish race and they likewise hated and despised the strangers and foreigners in their land. Both Ezra and Nehemiah excluded all the foreigners and strangers from the Covenant. Nehemiah 9:1-3 gives us the following information:

“Now on the twenty fourth day of this month the people of Israel were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth, and with earth upon their heads. And the Israelites SEPARATED themselves FROM ALL FOREIGNERS…and they stood up in their place and read from the book of the Law of the LORD their God.”

Then in Nehemiah 13:1-3 we read:

“On that day they read from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God…When the people heard the law, they SEPARATED from Israel ALL THOSE OF FOREIGN DESCENT.”

Ezra and Nehemiah excluded ALL THE FOREIGNERS from among the Jews. God and Moses on the other hand allowed the foreigners to join the Israelites in the exodus from Egypt [Exodus 12:38]. Ezra and Nehemiah banned all the foreigners from hearing the Law, thus directly violating the precept and command of Moses. Moses charged the Twelve Tribes to love the foreigners and to include them in their assembly when they read and study the Book of the Law. Deuteronomy 31:10-13 attributes the following words to the mouth of Moses:

“At the end of every seven years, in the years of cancelling debts, during the Feast of Tabernacles, when all Israel comes to appear before the LORD your God at the place he shall choose, YOU SHALL READ THIS LAW BEFORE THEM in their hearing. Assemble the people - men, women, and children, AND THE STRANGERS LIVING IN YOUR TOWNS - so that they can listen and learn to fear the LORDA your God and FOLLOW CAREFULLY ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW. Their children, who do not know this law, MUST HEAR IT and LEARN to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land.”

After the death of Moses Joshua assembled the people at the chosen place - the Mount Ebal and the Mount Gerizim - he also assembled all the strangers in order to hear the Law and learn to obey all its precepts. Please note Joshua 8:32-35:

“Then Joshua built an altar in MOUNT EBAL…as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded…And there, in the presence of the people of Israel, he wrote upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written. And all Israel, STRANGER as well as home-born with their elders and officers and their judges, stood on opposite sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded…And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law. There was not a word of all that Moses commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel, and the women, and the little ones, AND THE STRANGERS WHO LIVED AMONG THEM.”

Ezra and Nehemiah did not only force the Jews to exclude all the strangers from the Covenant but they also forced them to divorce their foreign wives and also send away the children they begot with them. Ezra was very angry that the “holy seed” of the Jewish stock was mingled with the MOABITES and other foreign peoples. But we know from other scriptures that Moabites were Jewish blood relatives - since they were descended from Lot, the son of Abraham’s brother Haran. According to the rabbinical interpretation of the Law only those who are born of a Jewish mother are Jews. Ezra and Nehemiah apparently held the same view. That is why they forced the Jewish fathers to send away their children. But if a Jew is only a person born of a Jewish mother then it follows that the children of Joseph were “HEATHEN” since their mother was not a Jewess or an Israelite but rather an Egyptian. It also follows that David and Solomon - the Jewish heroes - were also “HEATHEN” and not Jews - since their immediate ancestors married “HEATHEN” wives. Salmon married Rachab the HARLOT while Boaz married Ruth the MOABITESS. Solomon’s mother - Bethsheba - in all likelihood was a Hittitess, since her husband whom David murdered was also a Hittite. Rehoboam the son of Solomon was also a “HEATHEN” since his mother was not a Jewess but rather an Ammonitess. Ezekiel 16:3,45 shows that the original ancestors of the Jews were HITTITES and AMORITES. So where is the HOLY SEED of which Ezra boasted?

The Jews did not only hate and ill-treat the foreigners who were not of the Hebraic stock. They also hated and ill-treated the peoples who were their blood brothers. All the peoples they butchered and exterminated in Canaan were their immediate blood relatives - since they were descended from Ham, the son of Noah. But the Jews did not only hate and ill-treat these peoples. The Jews also hated and ill-treated even the descendants of the Ten Tribes.

1 Kings 9:15-21 gives us the following important information:

“King Solomon used forced labor to build the Temple and the palace, to fill in the land on the east side of the city, and to build the city wall. He also used it to rebuild the cities of Hazor, Meggido, and Gezer…For his forced labor Solomon used the descendants of the people of Canaan who the Israelites had not killed when they took possession of their land. These included Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, whose descendants continue to be slaves down to the present time” [The Good News Bible].

All these peoples were in fact the immediate blood relatives of the Jews. These peoples were not subjected to slavery only during the evil terrorising rules of David and Solomon but they continued to be slaves for hundreds of years - until the Babylonians conquered the Jews and their land and subjected them to slavery in exile. But Solomon also subjected the Israelites - the descendants of the TEN SONS OF JACOB to slavery - all those who were not of the tribe of Judah.

1 Kings 5:13-14 states:

“King Solomon drafted 30,000 men as forced labor from all over Israel, and put Adoniram in charge of them. He divided them into three groups of 10,000 men, and each group spent one month in Lebanon and two months back home” [The Good News Bible].

That Solomon and the Jews ill-treated the Israelites - all those who were not of the tribe of Judah - is evident from other sources in the Bible. After Solomon died, his son Rehoboam succeeded him on the throne of Judah. The Ten Tribes came to Rehoboam and told him that they will recognise him as king and will in fact serve him if he recognises their rights and lighten the burden Solomon placed on their shoulders. 1 Kings 12:3-5 gives us the following insight:

“The people of the NORTHERN TRIBES sent for him [Jeroboam], and then they all went together to Rehoboam and said to him, Your father Solomon treated us harshly and placed heavy burdens on us. If you make these burdens lighter and make life easier for us, we will be your loyal subjects. Come back in three days and I will give you an answer, he replied. So they left.”

Rehoboam then consulted his advisers. His older advisers counselled him to listen to the Northern Tribes and recognise their rights. The younger advisers counselled him to be stern with them and add even further burdens on their shoulders. Three days later, when the Northern Tribes returned for an answer, Rehoboam told them:

“My father placed heavy burdens on you; I will make them even heavier. He beat you with whips; I’ll flog you with bullwhips!…When the people saw that the king would not listen to them, they shouted, Down with David and his family! What have they ever done for us? Men of Israel, let’s go home! Let Rehoboam look out for himself! So the people of Israel rebelled, leaving Rehoboam as king only of the people who lived in the territory of Judah. Then King Rehoboam sent Adoniram, who was in charge of the forced labor [over the Israelite slaves], to go to the Israelites, but they stoned him to death. At this, Rehoboam hurriedly got in his chariot and escaped to Jerusalem. Ever since that time the people of the northern kingdom of Israel have been rebelling against the dynasty of David. When the people of Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned from Egypt, they invited him to a meeting of the people and made him king of Israel. Only the tribe of Judah remained loyal to David’s descendants” [The Good News Bible].

From here on, certain kings of Judah attempted to reunite the tribes and place them all under their dominance, without however any success. After the Ten Tribes were conquered by the Assyrians and a small number of them exiled and lost from view, the others became known as the SAMARITANS. They rebuilt their Temple on Mount Gerizim which was later totally destroyed by the Jewish king called Hircanus.  The Jews ostracised the Samaritans and cut off all intercourse with them. In the days of Jesus, this animosity and separation continued.

John 4:9 says:

“For Jews have no social intercourse with Samaritans.”

The Jewish Rabbis taught that Samaritans could not be converted to Judaism and that there is no way through which Samaritans could ever participate in the eternal kingdom of the Messiah. In fact, the Gospel of Matthew which was written by someone who was a Jewish convert to “Christianity” retained the same view. He portrays Jesus as a hater of the Samaritans who actually forbade his disciples to enter their territory and to ever attempt to convert them. The author of the Gospel of Matthew refers to them and other “Gentiles” as ‘dogs’ and ‘pigs.’ The author is at pains to show that Jesus never stepped with his foot on the Samaritan soil. He shows how even on his last journey to Jerusalem he chose the long route - via other side of Jordan. The authors of Luke and John on the other hand present Samaritans as “heroes” and show how Jesus socialised with them and in fact taught them his message of the Kingdom. Luke also clearly shows that Jesus actually went to Jerusalem via the territory of the Samaritans. Jesus did not support the Jewish stance towards the Samaritans or other peoples. Jesus taught all his followers and true disciples to dearly love even their enemies and all those who mistreat them in any way whatsoever. The Jews have not learned their lesson. Today they continually mistreat the Palestinians and deprive the Samaritans of their rightful land. The Jews have accepted the STOLEN land which the United Nations gave them in 1948. The Jews and virtually all Christians that the land of Israel is God’s Land and that it belongs to the Jews. But they are gravely mistaken. Only the southern part of Israel, which was known as Judaea even in the days of Jesus, actually belongs to the Jews.

The central territory which was known as Samaria in the days of Jesus and the northern part, that is, Galilee, does not belong to the Jews and never did. That land was allocated by God to other sons of Jacob, that is, to the other eleven tribes and not Judah. But the Jews continue to occupy this stolen land which never belonged to them. There cannot be peace in the Middle East as long as the Jews forcefully occupy this stolen land and as long as they deprive the Samaritans of their ancestral land which belonged to them even in the days of Jesus. And as long as they treat the Palestinians as beasts they can expect suicide bombers to kill their citizens in retaliation for their master butchery. I am a pacifist and I condemn all form of violence. But what one sows, that he also reaps. The rabbinical Judaism has sown hegemony and hatred towards the “Goyim” and in return the Jews have paid the price during the Holocaust. But yet a greater holocaust awaits the Jews in the future – as the Bible clearly reveals – because of their continuous rebellion against God and His Messiah.
